01 How the Analysis Works
Enter your income and expenses to see how your budget is performing.
Total Income adds the income amounts you enter from salary, freelance or side-hustle work, rental income, and other income.
Total Expenses adds the expense categories entered in the planner.
Savings is the amount left after total expenses are subtracted from total income.
Savings Percentage expresses that remaining amount as a percentage of total income.
Start With Reality
Use realistic amounts based on what you actually earn and spend rather than ideal targets. A useful budget starts with an honest snapshot.
Separate Needs & Wants
Reviewing categories such as dining, entertainment, subscriptions, and other discretionary spending can help identify areas where adjustments may be possible.
Give Savings a Purpose
A budget surplus can support emergency savings, debt reduction, investing, or another financial goal.
Import Considerations
When transferring numbers from another budget, spreadsheet, bank statement, or financial application, take a moment to make sure the information fits the structure of this planner.
